These may become loose, frayed or stretch at any given time. Other common problems are the drive belt, the power cord and the timing belt. Those would be the loose connections and plugs as well as the needle placement, look and tightness.

The first thing you need to do is take a screwdriver that matches the holding screws and remove those.
